MAD MAGAZINE has on ongoing bit where, on each cover and sometimes in the fold in the back, you would see the face of Alfred E. Neuman.  No matter where you looked, on which cover from any issue, there he was again.  It was as if you couldn't avoid him.  Well, this is what I think of when I turn on the T.V. and there is the face of President Obama, who, by the way, looks an awful like Alfred E. Neuman.  Maybe it's the ears.  Turn on the T.V. to watch you regularly scheduled Wednesday night broadcast, there he is.  Want to watch 60 Minutes? There he is.  Sunday talk shows, there he is.  He plans to do 5 of them in one day.  Soon, when I turn on Letterman, he'll be there.  It's almost like watching a new version of Forrest Gump.  No matter where you look, there is Barack, Barack Obama.  And, it's obvious from his preaching and haughty style, that he thinking about us that "stupid is as stupid does." 

An amazing thing has happened in this country. We are now being governed instead of being allowed to govern ourselves. We are being governed by a presumptuous class of self appointed neo-royals. They are a class of narcissistic ideologues with a dangerous agenda. This agenda poses a danger to our constitution and, in turn, to our freedoms, way of life and very beings.

Our supposed leaders have taken on the role of rulers and the rest of us are seemingly to be ruled. Their blatant contempt for us is obvious. It is demonstrated by their attempts to ram one thousand page legislative initiatives through so quickly that we the people would not be able to know what was in it before it became law. Just as they did with the supposed “stimulus” package. It is the same as they did with “cap and trade.” We sent people to Washington to represent our interests and protect our rights. We didn’t send them to trample over both. We didn’t send them to usurp power and take advantage of the represented at every turn.

But, as the saying goes, it’s our own fault. We keep sending the same people back to Washington election after election. Maybe not the same individuals, but the same people that represent their contempt for us. This contempt grows every two years with every election.

Our forefathers fought a war of revolution and independence so that they and their descendents would have self rule. But our self rule has been stolen by those who consider themselves our rulers. Well, it is time to engage in a revolution at the polls. Each and every incumbent has earned the privilege of a peaceful retirement.  Quite simply, they need to be replaced. They need to be brought down. The only way to do this is to vote them out. We all have to vote only for the challengers. While it is true that there may be a few well meaning incumbents who will get caught up in the shuffle, but that’s life. For the most part they have built themselves ornate palaces of bureaucracy and corruption right under our noses. It is now time to blow our noses and rid ourselves of this infectious waste.
